Tucker will provide additional oversight of the nonprofit organization’s accounting department and perform as second in command for Chief Financial Officer Shaun Powell. She will also play a role in managing Waveny’s forthcoming transition to an electronic medical records system.
“Our decision to bring Renée on board was a proactive one, which will help to guarantee solid financial oversight as we continue to grow, evolve and diversify our services in response to the changing needs of seniors,” said Bill Piper, Waveny’s chief executive officer.
Tucker joins Waveny with more than 15 years of professional experience in accounting and finance, including years of service within the health-care field. She previously served as a controller, senior financial analyst and director of corporate accounting. She is a graduate of Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y.
Waveny is a not-for-profit organization that offers independent living at The Inn along with assisted living for people with Alzheimer’s and memory loss at The Village, and nursing at Waveny Care Center.
