Tesla's strategy to support bills that would limit the number of dealerships that directly sell to customers has fallen short, resulting in lawmakers failing to take up the bill, reported Business Insider.

Because these third-party dealerships can have a significant effect on the state, such as being a large tax revenue source, Tesla is not left with many options, according to Business Insider.
