Burr Homestead Hosts Annual Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The 2014 Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival will be held from Dec. 4 to Dec. 7 at the Burr Homestead on 739 Old Post Road in Fairfield.

Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Trees, wreaths and heirloom-quality holiday decorations will adorn each room of the house, which was decorated by local interior designers. Visitors can also design their own wreaths. Each item will be for sale.

Children can have their photo taken with Santa on the second floor and free cups of apple cider will be provided in the dinning room.

The Center for Family Justice is the festival’s beneficiary this year.

General admission to the Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival at the Burr Homestead is $5 to $10. In addition, special events will be held. These events require advance purchased tickets. For more information, visit the Festival’s website. The Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival is a nonprofit organization raising funds for local community projects. It has raised more than $3.7 million since its inception in 1981.
