Low-Income Families Can Maximize Tax Refunds In This Maryland County

One county in Maryland is helping low- to moderate-income families maximize their tax refunds for the 2022 season.

Montgomery County is offering free tax appointments for families who made less than $58,000 in 2021 through its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

In-person appointments with start on Monday, March 14 at the Casey Community Center in Gaithersburg. Pop-up sites in Wheaton, Germantown and East County will also become available starting that Thursday, the 17.

Families can also schedule a virtual appointment from Monday to Friday and all appointments will be available from now until Monday, April 18.
