FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Here are five of the biggest events coming up in Fairfield County.
Erin Go Bragh! The annual Greenwich St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place March 23, stepping off at 2 p.m. from Town Hall to the Post Road (Route 1) to Greenwich Avenue. Parade starts at 101 Field Point Road. Spectators are invited to line the route.
The Laser Spectacular will pay tribute to Michael Jackson's legacy with a stunning laser show. The show will feature one of the premier Michael Jackson impersonators from Las Vegas, accompanied by a dance troupe. The production includes lasers, large screen video projection, concert lighting and 50,000 watts of pop music. Tickets are $38. The Ridgefield Playhouse at 80 E. Ridge Road.
Bob Mankoff,cartoon editor of The New Yorker, has often heard that he has the best job in the world. Hear him discuss about his memoir, "How About Never—Is Never Good for You? My Life in Cartoons" at the Westport Library. The library is located at 20 Jesup Road.
Children ages 3 and under can come to the Norwalk Library to enjoy interactive stories, songs and games that encourage their emerging language skills, followed by playtime. A caregiver must be present. Free admission given first come, first serve to 20 children. 1 Belden Avenue.
The Pat Metheny Unity Group, featuring jazz guitarist Pat Metheny will perform on the stage at Fairfield University's Quick Center for the Performing Arts at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $65, $55 and $45. 1073 North Benson Road.
