Hyatt Regency Greenwich Hosts Fairfield County Sports Night

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The 11th annual Fairfield County Sports Night awards dinner takes place Monday, Oct. 19 at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich at 6 p.m.

Tickets are still available for the event, which features the induction of the six newest members of the Fairfield County Sports Hall of Fame and recognizing Sports Persons of the Year from 16 county communities.

This year's Hall of Fame class includes Ted Drury (Trumbull) and Max Pacioretty (New Canaan) in the Jackie Robinson Professional Wing, Lambert Shell (Bridgeport) and Lisa Brummel (Westport) in the James O'Rourke Amateur Wing and Jack Kvancz (Bridgeport) and Angela Tammaro (Greenwich) as the J. Walter Kennedy Community Service honorees.

Also to be honored are three of the county's greatest sports radio voices as Bill Gonillo Local Media Award winners in Stamford's Len Gambino, Norwalk's Leo Motyka (known on air as Lee Moore) and the late Bob Ritzert of Bridgeport. The Chelsea Cohen Courage Award will be presented to Fairfield's Giacomo Brancato, a junior at Warde High.
