Norwalk Fire Leaves Two Families Homeless

A fire in Norwalk on Wednesday morning displaced seven people in two families, according to the American Red Cross. The fire at 15 Myrtle St. began at about 10 a.m. on the third floor of the house. Most of Norwalk's fire stations responded to the blaze, which was extinguished within an hour.

The Red Cross is providing a family of three – two adults and one young child – with temporary lodging. It will meet with the family Thursday to assess additional needs. The Red Cross is working with four adults in a second family to assess their needs and is providing recovery information. The family is staying with other family or friends.
