Darien Runs for Japan

The Darien High School boys and girls track teams are teaming up with the Darien Rotary Club to raise money for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan in March. On Friday, June 10, the teams will hold a 2-mile Run for Japan at the DHS Stadium track.

For a donation of $20, all participants will walk or run 2 miles and receive a "Run for Japan" T-shirt designed by the Art for Action Club at Darien High. All of the proceeds from the event will be donated directly to Japan through the Darien Rotary Club. The event starts at 7 p.m., rain or shine. Registration begins in person at 6:30 p.m. or you can preregister by emailing DHSrunforJapan@gmail.com. Participants of all ages are welcome. For questions or more information contact Minina Johnston at minina@optonline.net.
