WESTPORT, Conn. Westport Public Schools will be closed Monday, thanks to the aftermath of Tropical Storm Irene. This means all professional development activities scheduled for teachers will be canceled as will activities scheduled for parents and students, a message on the district's website says.
All activities planned for Monday will be held Tuesday instead. As a result, the first day of school for students will be Wednesday.
