A Look At What's on the Agenda in White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- City hall isn't slowing down before Tuesday's elections. Here's a look at what will be considered:

- The Common Council meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday at city hall. The council will consider accepting five free electric car charging stations via a federal program, and accepting grants from the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee to allow police to enforce bans on talking on the phone while driving. The council will also vote on whether the Public Safety Department should accept a donation to fund a K-9 unit and whether the city allow residents to pay sewage and water bills online. The Common Council is also expected to vote to officially hire Michael Coakley as the new IT Director. The complete agenda is available here.

- The Board of Education is hosting a special meeting and work session at 7:30 p.m in the education house Monday.

- The Library Board of Trustees will convene at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the White Plains Public Library.
