NORWALK, Conn. Norwalk police arrested a Bridgeport man after he was accused of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend, taking her back to his apartment and sexually assaulting her.
Witnesses reported seeing a man and woman arguing on West Cedar Street Friday night before he forced her into a truck and drove off, according to police reports. Officers canvassed the area and were unable to find anything. The next day a woman came into police headquarters and reported that her ex-boyfriend, Henry Morales, 35, of Bridgeport had kidnapped her, the police report said.
The woman told police that she had come home and was unloading groceries from her car when Morales approached her, the police report said, and kept asking her who she was with, to which she replied, No one. He then grabbed her by the wrists and forced her across the street toward his truck, according to police reports.
The woman reported that she could not break free from him, and yelled and screamed for help, the police report said. She said he forced her into the car, according to police, and she was unable to get out because the doors and windows were locked. He then got onto I-95 and drove to Bridgeport, she told police, the report said.
They drove to his home and he forced her into his apartment, police said. She tried to get the neighbors attention by knocking over pots and pans, but was unsuccessful. The woman told officers that Morales forced her onto the bed, took off her clothes and started having sex with her, according to the police report. Afterwards, police said he gave her her phone and let her call her kids before agreeing to take her home.
After dropping her off, Morales texted her repeatedly, according to police reports. The woman went to police the next day and reported the incident. Police said she had bruises on her arms.
A warrant was issued for Moraless arrest and he turned himself in on Saturday. He was charged with first-degree kidnapping, a felony. He was held on a $300,000 bond and appeared in court Monday. Norwalk police said Bridgeport police were contacted to notify them of the sexual assault, as it occurred in their jurisdiction.
