Mikiyas Kefyalew, of Piney Branch, was charged for allegedly selling counterfeit Percocet pills to the victim on Jan. 17, Montgomery County Police said.
An official cause of death determined the victim died from Fentanyl intoxication. Traces of Fentanyl were found in the pills the victim took, police said.
Investigators were able to identify Kefyalew as the person who sold the victim the pills and he was arrested and charged on Thursday, April 14, police said. He is said to face further charges as the investigation continues.
