"Little Stones" follows four female artists in Brazil, India, Senegal, Kenya, Germany and the U.S. as they use art  -- graffiti, dance, music and fashion  -- to combat violence against women, and to empower women and girls globally.

So far, the movie has gotten off to a strong start. At its world premiere at the Vail Film Festival, "Little Stones" won for Best Documentary and its screening was sold out at the West Coast premiere at Newport Beach Film Festival.

The film is directed and produced by Emmy-award-winning Filmmaker Sophia Kruz with Co-Producer and Cinematographer Meena Singh ("20 Feet From Stardom," "Hollidaysburg") and music by Amritha Vaz ("500 Days of Summer").

Said Kruz: "The film is not only about women who are using art to create social change, but also created by a team of talented female film-artists."

"Little Stones" will screen on Friday, June 2 at 3 p.m. and Sunday June 4 at 11 a.m. Q&As with the artists will follow both screenings, and on Sunday there will be a reception celebrating the premiere at Sweaty Betty starting immediately after the Q&A ends.
