The former prosecutor of the infamous O.J. Simpson murder trial will be speaking about her recently released novel, "Blood Defense."

“We are thrilled to have Marcia back to talk to our communities," said Kathy McShane, CEO of Ladies Lunch Club.

"She epitomizes the challenges that many women face — having a high-pressure job or business, raising children and being attacked for things that have nothing to do with her professional capabilities," said McShane.

“She has visited us two years in a row, and each time she manages to motivate and inspire the group," said Christine Oleynick, Fairfield County director of Over 40 Females.

"It’s an honor to host her, and we appreciate her making a special effort to be with us.”

Clark's new book is about Samantha Brinkman, a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney struggling to keep her fledgling private practice afloat when her career receives a jolt from a high-profile double-murder case in which one of the victims is a beloved TV star and the defendant is a decorated veteran LAPD detective.

Clark recent re-released her 1997 New York Times bestselling book "Without A Doubt," as an e-book.

The most recent addition features a new forward, in which she details the things that have changed since the trial, along with those that have stayed the same and what she's learned in the past two decades since the trial about the verdict, race relations, domestic violence, and how celebrity and media attention continues to impact criminal cases.

The event will be held in a private home located at 310 Ocean Drive E. in Stamford on May 5 from 6-8 p.m.

Seating is limited, so reservations are required. To register, visit the event's website.
