With the proper permits and licenses, Breen plans to show “Zootopia” on a 26-foot outdoor inflatable screen on the lawn by Waveny House on Friday, July 15. The event is free to everyone.

In the movie, “a rookie bunny cop and a cynical con artist fox must work together to uncover a conspiracy,” according to IMDB.

Breen, who has two kids, said he chose the movie to appeal to children. “It’s a new movie,” Breen told Daily Voice. “I thought that would be fun for kids.”

Breen said the event will start at sundown. The venue can accommodate a crowd of about 500 people, he said.

But Breen has a back-up plan. If the event gets rained out, it will be held the following Friday on July 22, Breen said.

Breen worked with the Town of New Canaan's Recreation Department to organize the event.

The event is sponsored by Karl Chevrolet, Walter Stewarts Market, Bankwell, Baskin Robbins and New Canaan Advertiser.
