NEW CANAAN, Conn. – The Thanksgiving holiday will mean a change in schedule for town facilities.
New Canaan Town Hall offices will close at 2 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed on Thursday and Friday. This includes land use offices at Irwin Park and the recreation department at Waveny House. Town Hall on Main Street has been evacuated and is closed in advance of renovations.
The public works transfer station will close today at 3:15 p.m. and will be closed on Thursday. The transfer station will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Friday.
New Canaan Public Schools will have a half-day Wednesday. Schools are closed Thursday and Friday. St. Luke’s School, St. Aloysius School and New Canaan Country School are also closed.
New Canaan Library will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday and will remain closed Thursday. The library will remain open for its regular hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
