New Canaan's Baldanza Cafe Serves Up Benefit To Fight Childhood Hunger

NEW CANNAN, Conn. – To kick off National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, Baldanza Natural Market and Café in New Canaan is hosting a fundraiser on Monday, Nov. 16.

The event will benefit Filling in the Blanks, a nonprofit organization that fights childhood hunger by providing needy children with meals on the weekend.

A variety of artisanal foods, soups, desserts and specially selected wines will be served at the event.

Guests will include Ali Rakowski, author of “Bowls of Love: Paleo Soups for the Seasons,” and Heidi Burrows, owner of New Canaan Olive Oil.

The fundraiser will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $125 per person, and include a gift bag. Baldanza Natural Market and Café is located at 17 Elm St.
