On Wednesday afternoon, police received a call from the store, saying that two women had just left after being spotted shoplifting. The total value of the two items is around $75, police said.

The manager followed the two women out into the parking lot and confronted them, police said. They then ran away toward Heights Road, police said.

The two women were described as black and in their late teens or early 20s. One wore a purple hooded sweatshirt, black pants and pink sneakers. The other wore a black hooded sweatshirt, white or gray pants and white sneakers. Anybody with information about the incident is asked to call the Darien Police Department at 203-662-5300.
