"Relative Values," directed by Skip Ploss, takes place on a lovely July evening in 1951, at Marshwood House, an estate in Kent, southwest of London. As delightful as the weather might be, things are not quite as delightful inside the manor house itself.

Lady Felicity Marshwood (Trish Maskell of Stratford) finds her genteel English manor house in turmoil. She is short-staffed, with one maid ill and another visiting a relative, and her son Nigel  (Robert Fortunato of Bridgeport) has announced that he is returning home with his new fiancee, who just happens to be a famous Hollywood star,  Miranda Frayle (Rachel Dalton of Trumbull). The housemaid, Alice, (Ayla Guttman of Stamford), is star struck. Moxie (Rachel Rothman-Cohn of Milford) Lady Marshwood's personal maid of 19 years, has announced that she will resign the minute the star sets foot in the house.

To further stir up the situation, Lady Felicity's slightly sarcastic nephew Peter (Peter Haynes of Wilton) is providing no help at all, her butler Frederick Crestwell (Steve Benko of Fairfield) may be enjoying the whole situation a little too much,  and her neighbors, Admiral John and Lady Cynthia Hayling (Jeff Rossman of New Fairfield and Barbara Stolarik of Norwalk) have been trying her last nerve regarding the marriage, which they've decided is far beneath Nigel's class. It's enough to drive a sophisticated English Lady quite mad.
