Roots Music Duo Hungrytown Performs At New Canaan Library

NEW CANAAN, Conn. – Roots music duo Hungrytown will perform Saturday, June 4 from 1-2 p.m. at the New Canaan Library as part of the Summer Sounds series.

Hungrytown has been touring internationally for more than 10 years. Having recently returned from a 42-date, 14-state U.S. tour, Hungrytown will be perform in New Canaan in support of their third album, “Further West,” which made the top 10 on the American Folk DJ charts for two months last summer, and at least 14 "Best of 2015" lists.

Hungrytown's music has been featured in several television programs, including "The Daily Show" and "Portlandia."

The free all ages show will be held in Christine's Garden on the corner of Maple Street and South Avenue. This event does not have traditional seating and patrons are encouraged to bring blankets and picnic lunches, or lawn chairs if they prefer to sit.

If weather doesn't permit an outdoor concert, it will be held in the Lamb Room.
