SoNo Concert Series Kicks Off Wednesday With Caribbean Night

NORWALK, Conn. -- South Norwalk can enjoy the sound of reggae music Wednesday as Mystic Bowie and Reggae Culture kick off the Party on the Plaza's SoNo Charity Concert Series.

Mystic Bowie of Norwalk will have an explosive performance of Reggae Afro-Caribbean jazz music, performing with Junior Jazz (Jimmy Cliff) and Ras I-Ray. Reggae Culture, a Calypso and steel drum band, will also perform.

The free event will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m., with the music starting at 6 p.m. It will be held at the SoNo Corporate Park, 50 Washington St., across from Klaff's.

The charity to benefit from the concert will be the Brien McMahon High School Cheer Squad.

Concertgoers can enjoy good food, drink and music at this family friendly event with face-painting and more. Food, drinks and beer will be available from local vendors.  

Here is the lineup for the concert series: 

  • June 26 - Caribbean Night with Mystic Bowie and Reggae Culture
  • July 17 - Disney Magic & Pop Song Celebration with The Norwalk Symphony and Broadway's Finest
  • Aug. 7 - Rock Concert with The Juicy Grapes and Andy Aledort & The Groovy Kings
