Teacher To Speak at New Canaan Veterans Day Service

NEW CANAAN, Conn. – Richard Webb, a teacher and head of the social studies department at New Canaan High School, will be the guest speaker at New Canaan’s Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. Sunday at God’s Acre.

Webb teaches advanced placement world history and U.S. history as well as ancient world history and modern world history at New Canaan High. He is also the director of the high school’s Wilburn Fellowship Program, educational consultant for Kids for Peace at Acer Farm and director of the New Canaan High Voices of Sept. 11 internship program.

He has been honored with the Town of New Canaan’s Volunteer of the Year award as well as the town’s Community Service Award. Webb is an adjunct professor at Sacred Heart University.
