New Work by Artist Tauba Auerbach: 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. An exhibition featuring the work of New York-based artist Tauba Auerbach, a “sculpture-in-residence” series presented on the Mies van der Rohe glass coffee table inside the Glass House. The physical form of the work resembles that of a gnomon, the vertical shadow-casting part of a sundial. Tours cost $30 to $250. The Glass House, 199 Elm St.
Saturday, Sept. 7
New Canaan Sewing Group at Farmers Market: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. One-of-a-kind handcrafted items will be available for the fall season. All proceeds will benefit local nonprofit organizations. Free. Old Center School Parking Lot, at South Avenue and Maple Street.
Exhibition: New Works by Artist E.V. Day at The Glass House: 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. New site-specific works by New York artist E.V. Day will be on view in Da Monsta gallery at the Glass House.
