Movie Mondays: 4 p.m. This week’s movie is “Mozart’s Sister.” The film will be screened in the Plaut Room, New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

New Canaan Board of Education: 7:30 p.m. The New Canaan Board of Education will have its regular meeting and hold a discussion of amending the 2012-13 calendar after Hurricane Sandy. New Canaan High School, 11 Farm Road. 

Tuesday, Dec. 4

New Canaan Board of Selectmen: 9 a.m. The New Canaan Board of Selectmen will have its regular meeting. New Canaan Police Department, 174 South Ave.

Wednesday, Dec. 5

Author Mark Rubenstein Speaks: Noon. If fast-paced, can’t-put-down thrillers are your favorite read, don’t miss author Mark Rubinstein, who will talk about his recently released thriller, “Mad Dog House.” The event is co-sponsored by Elm Street Books. Lunch will be served. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

Thursday, Dec. 6

New Canaan After Action Review of Hurricane Sandy: 7 p.m. New Canaan officials will meet to review actions taken during Hurricane Sandy. New Canaan High School, 11 Farm Road.

Friday, Dec. 7
