NEW CANAAN, Conn. Story time for children, guided nature hikes and an interstate lacrosse battle are some of the events planned for this weekend in New Canaan.
Friday, April 6 New Canaan Library Childrens Drop-In Story Time. 9:30 a.m. in the Childrens Room. The program is kids ages 3 to 5 and runs for 45 minutes.
Saturday, April 7
First Saturdays at the New Canaan Nature Center, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. On the first Saturday of each month, naturalists lead guided activities for visitors. There will be activities in the Children's Play Garden, and the Rock House will be open for exploration and discovery. There will also be a guided, seasonal activity for families with children ages 5 and older. This week's program, "Vernal Pools," will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
New Canaan High School varsity boys lacrosse, 6 p.m. The New Canaan Rams will host the Somers, N.Y., High School Spartans at Dunning Field. The junior varsity game will be at 4 p.m.
