Friday

“Scapes” Exhibit at Heather Gaudio Fine Art Gallery: 11 a.m. The Heather Gaudio Fine Art Gallery presents Scapes, photographs by Bonnie Edelman. The exhibit is open through Sept. 26.  A closing reception for the artist will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 12. The exhibition consists of abstract images of landscapes, seascapes and skyscapes. Bonnie Edelman creates captivating visual pieces of vibrant color, creativity and light. Heather Gaudio Fine Art, 21 South Ave.

Faculty Art Show at Silvermine Art Center: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Silvermine School of Art will have its faculty show daily through Sept. 16 at Sara Victoria Hall. Showcasing the works of the artists/teachers of the Silvermine School of Art, this exhibition represents every style and medium including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry and silversmithing. Saturday

New Canaan Farmers Market: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visit with vendors selling farm fresh foods, soaps, crafts and other treats. The Farmers Market is open every Saturday rain or shine through Nov. 17. Center School Parking Lot at Maple and Main streets.

New Canaan High School Football Freshman Football Scrimmage: 4 p.m. The New Canaan High School freshman football team will scrimmage with Westhill High School. Westhill High School, 125 Roxbury Road, Stamford.

Sunday

Full Tilt exhibit at Silvermine Arts Center: 1 to 5 p.m. Bob Gregson’s "Full Tilt," begs the question of being off-kilter or askew. The walls of the Vassos Gallery are filled with plywood constructions, all or parts of which are tilted, which visually energizes the space. The floor space is filled with maquettes for sculptures with panels that lean to the side. Silvermine Art Gallery, 1037 Silvermine Road.
