Chris Bogart will explore brain development in elementary-age children and how the differences between boys and girls might affect how they learn. He will discuss the differences in language and spatial reasoning patterns between genders and how this impacts executive functions and academic performance.

Parents can learn how to recognize these differences and find out how to help improve their child’s study skills at home.

Bogart is the executive director at The Southfield Center for Development in Darien. He is a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked in both the private and public sectors for over 25 years. He works with children, adolescents and parents and provides program consultations to local schools, as well as supervision to doctoral students in psychology. He also serves as the school psychologist at the New Canaan Country Day School.

A donation of $10 is suggested. Registration is recommended; click here to register.
