DARIEN, Conn. – Darien’s boys lacrosse team was determined to re-capture the Class M state championship. The Blue Wave didn’t leave its fans disappointed.
Sophomore Peter Lindley scored four goals and the top-seeded Blue Wave led from start to finish Saturday en route to an 11-5 victory over third-seeded New Canaan. Darien won its seventh title in eight years. It also erased the sting of losing in the semifinals of this year’s Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference tournament and in the semifinals of last year’s state tournament.
