"Bonnie and Clyde" is a new musical with music by Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Don Black and a book by Ivan Menchell. It will be directed by George Croom with music direction by Eric Johnston.

Auditions will take place from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 14-15 at The Sterling Farms Theatre Complex, 1349 Newfield Ave., Stamford.

The musical centers on Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, the ill-fated lovers and outlaws whose story has been infamous since they achieved folk-hero status in the Great Depression. Wildhorn describes the music as a “non-traditional score, combining rockabilly, blues and gospel.” The musical debuted on Broadway in 2011.

The score includes the songs “How ‘Bout a Dance?” “When I Drive,” “This World Will Remember Us” and “Dyin’ Ain’t So Bad.”

"This is the first area production since the Broadway production so we're very excited to be working on this great new show," said Curtain Call executive director, Lou Ursone in a press release.

"Bonnie and Clyde" will be performed weekends from Nov. 13 through Dec. 12 at the Kweskin Theatre.

When selecting music for your audition, please keep in mind the style of the show. Please have your music printed in the correct key and laid out clearly for the accompanist.
