New Black Rock Restaurant Brings Latin Flair To Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — L.A. Tavern Kitchen & Bar has officially opened, bringing an American-Latin menu and farm-fresh ingredients to Black Rock’s bustling Fairfield Avenue.

The new restaurant served up its first meals this week, holding an official grand opening on July 5.

The menu features tapas, including sautéed shrimp over a roasted corn salad, grilled lollipop lamb chops with a balsamic drizzle and eggplant bruschetta.

“Cowboy Entrees” include carne adovada with yellow rice and sautéed onions, seafood paella and penne buterra with crumbled sausage and peas in a tomato-cream vodka sauce.

Seasonal produce is the star of the salad menu, which features both calamari and beet selections and a pomegranate salad with shaved fennel and feta cheese.

The bar is open from 11 a.m. to close Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to close on Saturdays and Sundays. The kitchen closes at 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday at 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 9 p.m. Sundays.
