Ana Grace Marquez-Greene, 6, inspired her father, jazz saxophonist Jimmy Greene, to created his new jazz CD entitled "Beautiful Life," which was released Monday.
"Anna loved to sing and she loved music and she had a really beautiful singing voice," Greene told NBC Connecticut. "I thought it would be a fitting tribute to have singers and vocalists on a recording of mine."
A portion of the CD's proceeds will benefit The Ana Grace Project, which helps children who are victims of violence in partnership with Klingberg Family Centers, and the Artists Collective, which brings the arts to young people in Hartford.
The CD can be purchased here at Amazon.com. The 10 songs are titled:
- Saludos / Come Thou Almighty King
- Last Summer When I Come Home
- Ana's Way
- Your Great Name
- Where Is the Love?
- Seventh Candle
- Maybe
- Prayer
- Little Voices
