'Property Brothers' Filming In Westchester, Casting In Fairfield

New Westchester County residents are getting a chance to be on television, earn $20 grand and get a panel of experts to renovate their fixer-uppers into dream homes.

Drew and Jonathan Scott, twin brothers and stars of the popular HGTV show, "The Property Brothers," started shooting on Monday, April 18 and will feature 16 Westchester County homes. 

Additional Westchester County homes are being sought for upcoming seasons, as well as houses in Fairfield County, Conn., according to the television series's website.

Requirements include, 

  • Purchasing fixer-upper homes in either county
  • Having $100,000 to spend on renovations
  • Ability to spend 6-7 weeks filming

In return, people receive,

  • $20,000 towards their renovations
  • A panel of design experts and project management
  • Completed renovation of 3-4 rooms in 6-7 weeks
