“Casa Valentina” is play set in the 1960s at a Catskills vacation resort where heterosexual men dress up and act like women, the report said. Previews for the play are scheduled to begin on April 1 at the Manhattan Theater Club’s Samuel J. Friedman Theater. It is expected to open on April 23, the report said.

Fierstein most recently wrote the books for Broadway hits “Kinky Boots” and “Newsies,” which both earned him Tony nominations. He won the Best Actor Tony in 2003 for his role in “Hairspray,” and previously won in 1984 for the Best Book for “La Cage aux Folles.”
