In other words, there was lots of food, beer, and whiskey at the first Stamford Brew and Whiskey Festival.

The event, at Harbor Point in Stamford on Thursday, Sept. 14, also included boardwalk games and music by the NYC street band, The Secret Recipe (Receta Secreta).

It was all for a good cause --  the annual fundraiser for the local non-profit affordable housing developer, New Neighborhoods, Incorporated (NNI). Altogether, NNI raised over $35K for the night. Funds raised will go towards building more senior housing in the Fairfield Country region.

“We couldn’t be happier with the result," said Andrell Yarbrough, NNI’s Interim CEO and Director of Operations. "It surpassed our expectations.

"We hope the festival continues to grow each year to further NNI’s mission to increase affordable housing,”
