What To Do With Norwalk Snow? World's Largest Dairy Store Builds Mt. Stew

NORWALK, Conn. — When it came time to clear the 10 inches of snow that fell in the huge parking lots at Stew Leonard's in Norwalk during Tuesday's storm, the folks at the world's largest dairy store came up with one of their signature big ideas.

The team at Stew Leonard's in Norwalk piled up all of the snow from the parking lot and created Mt. Stew — which is open for sledding!

President and CEO Stew Leonard Jr. had the snowplow drivers create Mt. Stew in the team member parking lot across the street from Stew Leonard's in Norwalk (next to Walgreens on Westport Avenue).

They used 1,200 tons of snow to create a "mountain" that is 100 feet long, 12 feet tall, and 40 feet wide, the store said in a statement.

Check out the video above as Stew himself takes a maiden run down the mountain.

"While Mt. Stew is not staffed, local children are of course welcome to take a spin down Mt. Stew," the store said in a statement.

Stew Leonard's is located at 100 Westport Ave. in Norwalk.
