NEW CANAAN, Conn. – Florence Collins Byrne of New Canaan died at her home on Richmond Hill Road on June 3 after a short illness. She was 89.
A lifelong resident of New Canaan, Byrne attended New Canaan schools and graduated from New Canaan High School. She was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church.
She was predeceased by four sisters, Mary Byrne Shaw, Anna Byrne Ellwood, Margaret Byrne and Catherine Byrne Byrd; and three brothers, William Byrne, Andrew Byrne and Lawrence Byrne.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Aloysius. Funeral arrangements were handled by Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home in Stamford.
