Hopefuls Cast Votes in New Canaan Coloring Contest

NEW CANAAN, Conn. — The morning after they engaged in a debate before the town's Republicans, New Canaan's two GOP first selectman candidates met again. This time they were working together to select the winners for the Summer Theatre of New Canaan's coloring contest.

Rob Mallozzi and Paul Giusti studied the work of the 10 finalists in the Frog and Toad coloring contest that were posted throughout the aisles of Walter Stewart's Market to each select a winner. Open to children ages 9 and under, the contest at Stewart's received more than 100 entries over the past two weeks. The two winners will be awarded a party for six at a performance of "A Year with Frog and Toad," which opens today and runs every weekend through Aug. 6.
