NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Symphony Orchestra will introduce kids to music around Fairfield County this weekend.
Members of the wind sections will play the the music of Gustav Mahler at 8 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Norwalk Concert Hall for the (Not) Just For Kids series, according to a press release. The symphony will be accompanied by local bands, choirs and student musicians.
"Bring your young musicians and musician hopefuls to one of the libraries and get excited about the wonderful sources Mahler brought to his music such as the Klezmer clarinet and Frere Jacques," the release said.
The Norwalk Symphony Orchestra is scheduled to play at the following times and locations:
- 10 a.m. at the Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road, Wilton. 203.762.3950
- 1 p.m. at the New Canaan Public Library Lamb Room, 151 Main Street, New Canaan. 203.594.5000

The (Not) Just for Kids series will continue at the same facilities on the same schedule on Nov. 23 with "Holiday Music through the Ages," as well as on March 1, March 9 and May 10, according to the release.
