New Canaan's Nature Center Welcomes Judy Gilroy

NEW CANAAN, CONN. -- Judy Gilroy recently joined the staff at the New Canaan Nature Center Preschool, as the Mommy, Me and Nature teacher.

Gilroy made her debut with the summer Mommy, Me and Nature session and received rave reviews, the school said.

She comes to the program with an early childhood degree from Norwalk Community College and years of pre-school experience within the New Canaan community, including a concentration on 2-year-olds.

"Everyone with the New Canaan Nature Center is thrilled to have Judy on board and welcomes her positive spirit and enthusiasm with young children," the school said in a prepared statement..

Mommy, Me and Nature classes are offered to children 18-36 months with a parent or caregiver. The classes provide age-appropriate lessons and activities that incorporate nature themes, stories, exploration of the Nature Center’s 40 acres, including visits with live animals in the classroom.
