Funds raised through Swinging for Seniors provides financial assistance to residents and patients who cannot afford the full cost of their care at Waveny Care Center, The Village at Waveny, The Inn and Waveny’s Adult Day Program.

Karl Chevrolet will showcase a 2015 Chevrolet and provide golfers with the chance to win the car on the 7th hole.

Participants will also have the opportunity to win a $10,000 cash prize on an additional Hole-in-One sponsored by Stronghold Insurance & Financial Services.

“Waveny LifeCare Network serves as a cornerstone for the town of New Canaan and Karl Chevrolet is delighted to support this outstanding community resource,” said Stephen J. Karl, vice president of Karl Chevrolet. “It has been a pleasure to be involved with this tournament since its inception 13 years ago and to have watched it grow into one of our community’s most anticipated events of the spring season."

With a dozen $5,000 Gold Sponsors thus far, Karl joins a growing number of event supporters, including American Transit Insurance, Jim and Dede Bartlett, Bourgeon Capital Management, Frank and Marigrace Dubas, Employee Benefits Solutions, Four Friends of Waveny, Louise Goodridge, Joan F. Dionne Foundation, JPS & Co. – Jim Slattery, Morrison Senior Living, Cynthia and Chris Willis, and Muffy and Tom Lewis.

After a full day of golf and tennis, the ‘Swinging for Seniors’ event features a raffle held during the reception and award ceremony. Raffle chair Julianne Grace announced that the number of valuable prizes donated continues to grow thanks to the community’s generosity.

There is still time to register and participate.
