Carol Seldin has been a long-time member of the Westport Country Playhouse’s board of trustees. She praised the interns in a press release as “talented, dedicated, serious and engaged in their work at the Playhouse.”
Every summer, the playhouse selects a group of people for The Woodward Internship Program named after actress Joanne Woodward, a former playhouse artistic director.
Members of the 2014 intern program include Olyvia Brown, a company management intern from Harper Woods, Mich, with a bachelor’s degree in English and theater from Alma College; Colleen Doyle, a general production and props intern from Round Rock, Texas, with a bachelor’s degree in theater design and technology from Sam Houston State University; Erin Focone, a marketing intern from Monroe, Conn., with a bachelor’s degree in English and public communication from the University of Vermont; and Veronica Lee, a stage management intern from Pittsburgh, Pa., with a bachelor’s degree in theatrical design and production from Elon University.
Other interns are Wade Jennings, a development intern from Palm Beach, Fla., and a senior in the theater arts and entrepreneurship program at Florida State University; Jinae Linek, a scenic painting intern from Oakley, Calif., with a bachelor’s degree in technical theater from the University of South Alabama; Allyson Mojica, a general production and wardrobe intern from Wilmington, N.C, and a senior in the theater, arts, design and production program at East Carolina University; JT Murtagh, a stage management intern from Philadelphia, Pa., with a bachelor’s degree in theater production and stage management from Temple University; and Tajh Oates, a general production and carpentry intern from Fairbanks, Ark., and a junior in the theater and multimedia program at Georgia Southern University.
