NEW CANAAN, Conn. – A boys lacrosse championship game, a traditional Farmers' Market and bird watching are some of the events planned for this weekend in and around New Canaan.

New Canaan High boys lacrosse: 7 p.m. The New Canaan Rams face off against the Ridgefield High School Tigers for the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference championship at Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk.
Saturday, May 26
Farmers' Market: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visit with vendors selling farm fresh foods, soaps, crafts and other treats. The Farmers' Market is open every Saturday rain or shine through Nov. 17. Center School parking lot at Maple and Main streets.
Spring Migration Bird Walks: 7 to 8: 45 a.m. Rise and shine for this annual tradition. Each spring, like clockwork, a flood of neotropical migrants such as warblers, wood thrush, scarlet tanagers and others arrive in town to nest or feed during their migration. SPECTRUM 2012 Art Show. Noon to 4 p.m. Now in its 23rd year, SPECTRUM 2012 celebrates the creative work of area artists by promoting original, contemporary visual art in a wide array of media. A total of 137 artists from Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey submitted 423 works. Of these, this year’s juror Christopher White selected 102 paintings, sculpture, graphics and mixed media works. and is free and open to the public. The Carriage Barn Arts Center, Waveny Park.
Monday, May 28
New Canaan Memorial Day Parade. 9:30 a.m. The town’s annual parade to honor American veterans will go along Main Street and conclude at Lakeview Cemetery. This year’s grand marshals are Jim Bach and Ben Benedetto, both veterans of the Korean War. Also participating is Msgr. William J. Scheyd of St. Aloysius Church. In the event of rain, a service will be held at New Canaan Town Hall.
