FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Here's a look at the top stories from last week across Fairfield County.

Mark Cuban, the Dallas Mavericks owner and a celebrity judge on the ABC-TV show "Shark Tank," has been anchoring his yacht in 50 feet of water off Stamford Harbor for nearly a month.

Lexie Prendergast, a rising senior at Danbury High, will get to meet President Barack Obama and try her hand at legislating through the Girls Nation program this summer.

Kevin Sutherland, a 24-year-old graduate of Trumbull High School and former intern for U.S. Rep. Jim Himes was stabbed to death on a subway in Washington, D.C. An 18-year-old man was charged in the shocking death, which occurred in front of about a dozen other passengers in broad daylight.

 A 14-year-old boy on a field trip was taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment after he was bit by a copperhead snake at Devil's Den Preserve in Weston.

A Darien teen was charged with giving alcohol to minors after a Greenwich girl became sick after Darien's Fourth of July fireworks, police said.

Karl Chevrolet presented a 2015 black Corvette Stingray to John Polera, his prize for bagging a hole-in-one in the May Swinging for Seniors charity event at New Canaan Country Club.

Runners can race to a new shoe and apparel store in downtown Fairfield as Preston Ranton opens a Soundrunner-branded store in 2,700 square feet of space in the old MediaWave video store.
