Beware Of Wind Chill, Slippery Roads As Deep Freeze Engulfs New Canaan

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Light snow may have caused school delays around Fairfield County on Friday morning, but the next threat to the area will come this evening in the form of bitter cold.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind-chill advisory for all of Fairfield County starting at midnight through noon on Saturday. 

Temperatures will plummet into the single digits overnight with wind chills expected to be as low as 15-below-zero. 

Saturday will be sunny, but cold temperatures will remain with a high around 17. Wind gusts of over mph will keep wind chills below zero. 

Winds will die down on Sunday with a high of around 30. A system will move through the area on Sunday night into Monday morning and could bring anywhere between 3 and 9 inches of snow, depending on the track of the storm.
