Buses Running In Place Of Trains On New Canaan Branch Starting Friday

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Metro-North customers traveling on the New Canaan Branch will be riding buses instead of trains beginning Friday and running through the weekend.

Buses will begin running today for the weekend to take Metro-North passengers of select trains on the New Canaan line to the Stamford Metro-North station to allow for track work. The buses will roll again two weekends in April and one in May.

The buses will run Friday, March 24, to Sunday, March 26, and on the following weekends: April 21 to 23 and April 28 to 30 and again from May 5 to 7.

The service change is to accommodate track work.

The buses to Stamford will operate 15 to 20 minutes earlier than scheduled trains.
