The owner of the new new Pour Me Coffee & Wine Cafe is fighting a plan to allow Off-Track Betting in restaurants in downtown Danbury.

Alcohol and speed played a factor in an early morning car crash on North Washington Avenue that sent three Bridgeport residents to the hospital.

Democrat Kevin Kiley won a special election in Fairfield to fill an empty seat on the Board of Selectmen.

Stamford Police charged seven people — including four bartenders — with selling alcohol to minors in connection with a crash of a pickup truck in February that killed two 20-year-old men.

Fairfield's Mary Quinn, a senior in high school, has published her first novel, "Thorn In My Side," a story of demons, a sleeping curse and an unwanted prince.

Carlos Salgado, a 21-year-old Bridgeport man, was killed after he lost control of his car, went off the Wilbur Cross Parkway and slammed into two trees.

Danielle Faux, a 49-year-old Weston woman was sentenced after pleading guilty to tax fraud and obstructing an audit of Medicare claims related to her Norwalk physical therapy clinic.

Norwalk for $200: Scott Bergeron, a business development manager from the city, competed on "Jeopardy!"

The Diocese of Bridgeport settled five lawsuits claiming that four priests had sexually abused children in Bridgeport, Norwalk, New Milford, Fairfield, Greenwich and Danbury back in the 1970s and 1980s.

In a McDonald's makeover, a fast-food spot in Danbury is closed for renovations.

Pick-Your-Own fruit fans got some good news: Jones Family Farms in Shelton has opened for strawberry season. (But they won't be open on Sunday!)

A missing 26-year-old man from Florida who crashed his SUV on the Devon Bridge and then jumped into the Housatonic River in Stratford has not been found.

The man found dead in a burning, stolen SUV in Bridgeport died of a gunshot wound. The death of Jason Nieves, 28, of Bridgeport, was the 13th homicide of the year in the city.
