NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Word that "Law & Order: SVU" actor Christopher Meloni is selling his house in New Canaan recently led the news this week. Here is a recap of what took place in the town.

? A New Canaan man was arrested twice over the past weekend in connection with a dispute with his girlfriend.

? Christopher Meloni, who is recognized as Detective Elliot Stabler of "Law & Order: SVU," and his wife will be selling the Oenoke Ridge home they bought just eight months ago. The two paid $4.38 million and will be asking for $4.75 million, reports say.

? U.S. News & World Report ranked New Canaan High School as the 15th best in the state and 544th in the country.

? The police department has set up a drop box for medications people are looking to get rid of in the lobby of headquarters. Medications will be submitted confidentially and disposed of properly to keep from misuse.

? A New Canaan family is happy to participate in the Fresh Air Fund Program again this summer hosting Victoria from New York City. The family has taken Victoria in every summer since 2009.
