Connecticut Restricts Work On Roads, Highways For The Holidays

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced that there will be no maintenance or construction activities on major highways over the Christmas and New Year holiday periods.

The dates in which these activities will cease run from Thursday, Dec. 24, at 6 a.m. until Monday, Dec. 28, at 8 p.m., and on Thursday, Dec. 31, at 6 a.m. until Monday, January 4, 2016, until 8 p.m.

Only road work of an emergency nature will be considered during these periods.
