Darien Police Searching for Missing 16-Year-Old

DARIEN, Conn. – Darien police are asking for assistance in the search for a 16-year-old boy who was reported missing Monday morning. Zachary Gallo was last seen by his parents at his home on Hoyt Street between 11 and 11:30 p.m. Sunday and was reported missing at 7 a.m.

Gallo left his cell phone at his house, and police have no way of contacting him. He is described as 5-foot-8 and 185 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He usually has his hair slicked back and wears his jeans rolled up to his ankles.

Darien police patrols, with assistance from Stamford police, have searched the town exhaustively for Gallo and have been unable to locate him, said Lt. Thomas Krois. Gallo attends Cooperative Educational Services in Trumbull.

Capt. Fred Komm said, "Without going into detail, we have reason to believe that Zach is potentially an endangered at-risk individual."

Police ask that anybody with information on the whereabouts of Zachary Gallo contact the Darien Police Department immediately at 203-662-5300.
