Woman Charged With Stealing Memorabilia From Dad

WESTPORT, Conn. – Stratford residents Stephanie Bernier and Daniel Scott were arrested by Westport police Monday morning on warrants charging them with stealing collectibles from Bernier’s father, a Westport resident, police said.

Bernier’s father alleges his daughter, 21, and Scott, 29, stole several items from his sports memorabilia collection, as well as several pieces of jewelry, police said.

Bernier, a former Westport resident who shares the same address as Scott, was charged with first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny. She was held on $20,000 bond. Scott was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny and held on $15,000 bond.

Bernier and Scott were unable to post bond and were taken to Norwalk Superior Court later in the morning for arraignment.
